Polka Dot plants may become leggy as they grow if they are not pruned regularly (eg: every other week or so). Regular pruning will help maintain a compact, bushy appearnce. To prune your Polka Dot plant, use sharp scissors or a sterile knife and "pinch" or remove the top leaves, above the leaf node. Never remove more than a third of the plant's foliage at any one time.

Polka Dot plants require average to above average humidty. If your air is dry--particularly in the winter months--you can mist the leaves weekly with distilled water to keep your plant healthy and fresh.
