This unique hybrid perennial looks like it would come from the Amazon, but is actually native to Southeast Asia. It goes by many names, such as Alocasia Polly or Elephant Ear (after the shape of its leaves). This plant is treasured for the eye-catching texture of its foliage, which sometimes appears to have a purple tint.
