Dwarf White Spruce are cold hardy and can be planted outdoors in the spring in USDA plant hardiness zones 3-7. When grown outdoors they can reach a spread of 7 ft high by 3 ft wide (2.1 x 0.9 meters). Dwarf White Spruce prefer full sun and well-draining soil.

When grown indoors during the winter, Dwarf White Spruce should be kept in a cool, bright area, like an east-facing window. Their soil must be kept moist: never allow the soil to dry out completely.

Dwarf White Spruce are typically grown outdoors. They may be planted outdoors during the winter if kept inside for less than two weeks. Any longer than this and they will break dormancy, and can be shocked by the cold if not re-acclimated to the outdoors.
