Blooming
The colourful "blooms" of Anthurium are called spathes, and they are actually leaves which protect the true flowers--the spadix. They are long-lasting up to 2-3 months. Anthurium will bloom year-round.
Native to Andes mountains of Columbia and Ecuador, this elegant plant is favoured for its bold, long-lasting heart-shaped “blooms” (spathes). A little known fact is that it is also an amazing air purifier, proven by NASA to be capable of breaking down and removing several common types of VOC’s from indoor environments.
